About to close...

or so I go.

Well the time is here... we are about to close escrow on a new house on friday, and I have a few thoughts on the subject.

First of all ARE YOU KIDDING WITH THIS MARKET??

somehow I am qualifing for a $480K home! and second of all you should see what we are getting for almost half a million dollars. I know some will read an earlier post listing the reasons to rent, but in all reality you can't justify spending $1800-2500 in rent when my morgage is marginally higher. I guess the name of the game is equity. I mean as you read this I have already made $10-20K in the new home.

Another thing is that someone should create an easy to read checklist summarizing the steps nessasary to actually purchase a home. This had to be the most anguish creating process known to man. I had less anxiety when I had amneisia, and was worried I wouldn't remember anything about my life.

There is no one person with all of the answers. You have a consortium of people give you thier opinion qualified with "I am not telling you what you SHOULD do". People aer so worried about being sued in this day and age, that no one is assertive or forthcoming with thier opinion or information. I forgot, but isnt this what you get paid THOUSANDS of dollars to do for me? I think being a Real estate agent representing a buyer has to be the easiest gig in the world. You dont tell them to much, as to avoid a lawsuit, you do a bunch of paperwork based on knowledge you gained from some classes and your previous transactions, and then poof you make 10% sweet deal if you ask me.
